Good morning friends! Thanks for following along this week with my re-set tips to get back into a routine. Yesterday, I shared the two chores I do every day and now it’s time to get into the chores I do weekly. Tuesday is designated as declutter day.
This is the day I go through each room and pick up items that don’t belong and put them in their place. It honestly doesn’t take that long if you grab a basket and just start filling it up and then taking it all out by putting it away.
I chose Tuesday as my declutter day for a few reasons:
- decluttering is the first step before you can do any real cleaning. I can’t dust if there’s items laying all around.
- by decluttering early in the week, we are more likely to maintain the tidiness. When things start out being put away, you’re more likely to put things away in their proper place when you’re done using them. I’ve learned that my tidiness influences the others in my house (just my hubby). By keeping things neat and starting this early in the week, he’s more likely to also be neat.
And that’s all you do on Tuesday. So grab a laundry basket and get to decluttering!
