I love an orchid. They are such beautiful flowers with their elongated stems and full blooms. I particularly love a grouping of several orchids. However, I am not the best at keeping orchids alive. I can usually do it for a little while, but my brown thumb shows up on week 2 and I’ve wasted $20 again. NOT ANYMORE! I found this faux orchid planter recently and nestled it in a vintage brass vessel.
The Most Amazing Faux Orchid for only $35
Faux Orchid
Recently, I did a google search to see if I could find a faux orchid anywhere. I’ve seen the orchid stems in some local craft stores, but I wanted the full faux plant, leaves and all. Really good faux orchids can be so costly. So when I found this 5 stem beauty in stock at my local home improvement store for only $35, I had to run by there to see it for myself.
It Stopped Traffic
As I was leaving the store, one woman stopped to say how beautiful the orchid was. My response was “I know, I cannot believe this is fake!” She did a double take and gasped “that’s not a real plant?!” After hearing this exclamation, another woman saw this and had to examine it. She declared she was going back in to get one for herself.
No One Will Know This is Faux!
In my experience, if something stops traffic and three southern women stop to admire it–it’s worth purchasing!
Plant It Like a Real Plant in a Planter
To make it look like you labored over this orchid, set it one of your vintage vessels and surround it with moss. I used some leftover packaging from recent shipments and deliveries to be sure it was snug in the bowl. Then just cover with moss!

Permanent Centerpiece
The best part about having one gorgeous, awesome faux plant is that you can move it around to be a centerpiece wherever and whenever you need it! I moved it to my food buffet while hosting bible study to be a pretty focal point.

Where do you like to use fake plants? I love this faux orchid planter as a centerpiece on my buffet in my dining room, on the breakfast table, the dining table, and for entertaining! The faux orchid and moss is linked above and below with a few blue and white planter ideas!
