When I saw the orange slice picks and orange clove picks, I knew I wanted to use them in a wreath. The orange pops against the patina green (SW Verdigreen) of my front door. I added a dose of coral in the ribbon and hanger cover to bring a touch of the inside colors to the outside. Here’s how to make a citrus Christmas wreath:
Here is what I used:
- 24″ wreath. I used an old fake wreath as my form to help hold picks and real greenery in place. Mine is old, but this is similar
- orange slice pick
- orange and clove pick
- magnolia leaves
- camellia leaves
- orange wired ribbon … I got mine locally, but this looks exactly like mine
- coral wired ribbon … I got mine locally at Old Time Pottery, but that link is similar
- floral wire (to cinch the bow and tie it to the wreath; you may want it to help hold some picks in place too
- wreath hanger
- the coral greek key tape is a fabric remnant that I trimmed to make look like a fabric tape; and it’s literally just taped up there
I love this look so much! I’m thinking of getting the orange slice garland to place in the small Christmas trees that go in my planters on the porch to go with the citrus Christmas wreath.
