Y’all. I am Spanx Convert. I have resisted the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings for a few years and I caved. I bought my first pair yesterday and I love them. Couldn’t wait to wear them today! Let me walk you through why I love these and why I resisted for a while.
Leather — I just didn’t feel like I was cool enough to wear leather. For starters, these are faux leather. Secondly, they have a light texture to them. They aren’t that shiny patent leather. You’re not gonna look like Julia Roberts in her shiny thigh high boots at the beginning of Pretty Woman. Or Sandy at the end of Grease. But let’s be honest…who doesn’t love the end of Grease when Sandy comes out looking that good. Admit it. You want to be like that a little bit….just a teeny tiny bit. These leggings let you be your inner Sandy without having to say “tell me about it stud!” Just be sure to wear a tunic and cover your tush. Remember, just a little bit Sandy, not all the way.
Flattering — I’ll just tell you. Other leggings don’t make my legs look this good. Spanx has some sort of magical “hold it all tight while still being comfortable” thing. I
Comfort — Even in other leggings, I tend to have to adjust them all day long; still pulling at the waist. This was the number one thing that converted me. After wearing the Spanx jean-ish leggings and realizing that I didn’t have to tug at all during the day, I knew I needed another set of leggings from this brand.
You can buy Spanx at plenty of retailers but I bought mine at a local boutique, Southern Girl Chic. She sells online, too! Or I’m sure you could call and order on the phone, too! I went yesterday and tried on lots of sweaters, too! So many cute tunic options so be sure to check that out too! The sweater I’m wearing is from the store as well. I love that it’s tunic and straight, not too oversized, and a turtleneck.
