We may not immediately think of blue and white for fall tablescapes, but I absolutely love pairing this color combo with textures and tones of brown. It creates a beautiful blue and brown tablescape that is so lovely this time of year!
It was a beautiful day when we set this table! We’ve got to seize every opportunity to enjoy this fall weather while it’s here!
The Blues
Juliska plates // similar chambray napkins // similar blue glassware or these // similar blue ginger jar
My mother let me use her Juliska Country Estate dinner plates. For being a new china pattern, it feels so classic and timeless! I added chambray napkins to keep it casual and blue glassware looks opulent in the sunlight.
The Browns
similar wicker chargers // similar cowrie shell napkin rings // bamboo flatware
The “browns” were an excellent way to bring in texture. I love how the blue pops against the dark brown chargers. The napkin rings and bamboo flatware further brings out elements from nature.
The Extras
blue and white garden stool // blue and white pillow is custom, similar here //
When setting the table outside, I try to bring in more creature comforts to encourage lingering after the meal. Pull out your pillows and stay a while! Enjoy the sunset after dinner. Having a garden stool nearby offers an extra surface to set a pitcher of water, or stack dessert plates when not in use. And I couldn’t leave the space without a pop of pink!
