It’s been a few weeks since the carpet selections have been made and I wanted to update y’all on a few more happenings! It’s been so nice to work with All About Flooring and wonderful to get carpet and wallpaper (more on that below) from one store!
Rug Binding
When All About Flooring came to measure our living room, they realized they would have a pretty big remnant after installing. Danny suggested taking the remnant and covering our stairs or having a rug bound. I love the idea of the stairs to our basement being covered, but decided that would be better done when I can do the entire basement area. So a rug will be bound and it’s going to go in my office!
When you have a rug round, you can select a binding color. All About Flooring has so many options (this is just one of the pages of color binding options) to go with any carpet! I ultimately decided the black would go best with this leopard.
Wallpaper
Did y’all really think I could have carpet installed and stop there? Especially after seeing that All About Flooring carries wallpaper, too?! I had the wonderful opportunity to return and page through their large selections of wallpaper books.
When I arrived, Becky was so kind to pull my carpet sample and a few ideas to start the wallpaper search. We flipped through several books and I saw so many that I love! Of course, not all of these are a fit for my room, but when thumbing through the pages, I had to take a snapshot and share them with you!
This was such an awesome green geometric and I am very drawn to green for this space. The scale of this felt a little too small with the scale of the leopard carpet.
Y’all! This paper is my colors! I love it so much! I think it’s too much for this large living room and space, but I think it could be amazing in my hallway. Definitely thinking about it for that space in the future.
This caned wallpaper is epic! It literally looks like caning. It was tricking my mind because I was flipping the pages and feeling that it wasn’t caning but it looks just like it. Pictures don’t do it justice; it was fantastic! How cool would this be on a ceiling?
Back to green. I’m very drawn to a subtle botanical for this space and I really liked how this was in a vertical pattern. Overall, I decided it was a little too dense of a pattern for this room.
Another geometric I loved. In the end I eliminated it because I thought it might be too chartreuse and too modern for the space.
This green bamboo trellis is currently in the lead. I love that it’s geometric, a trellis, and so classic! There’s a good amount of white space, so it will still feel very open in this room.
This is currently in second place. The branches are metallic gold! It’s gorgeous! I love that it’s botanical, but still a little modern.
Ordering Samples
There was an additional wallpaper that I’ve seen online before that is getting ordered along with my two favorites. I’ll pick up those samples next week and make some decisions! Stay tuned to instagram for videos showing the samples in the space soon!
