I recently found an outdoor remnant of my one of my favorite patterns. I was just dying to use it on my porch! And since I’ve never customized outdoor pillows, I figured it was time. I used other remnants I already had to create the additional pillows. Here are my colorful pillows for the porch!

The Statement Maker
Let’s start by chatting about THE remnant. I found a remnant of Waverly Sun n Shade Candid Moment. I’ve always loved this pattern because it’s got all my colors in it. The pops of pink on hydrangeas, vivid chartreuse, a pretty little yellow hummingbird, and even deep blues. I corded it in a turquoise tweed for added texture.

Anchor with a “Solid”
I wanted this statement floral to really pop so I new I needed a bright color to be the stage behind it. I had some of this gorgeous pink on pink trellis pattern. I knew the pink would pop against my green trees and also allow the floral to shine. I corded these in green for the extra preppy effect.
Center with a Toile
I love mixing a chinoiserie scene or an Asian scene or a toile with a floral. It provides another pattern to add to the mix. I had a little bit of this turquoise pagoda fabric leftover and I love how it brings another color to the scheme and doesn’t feel too busy with all the patterns.

Don’t forget to chop!
