Fall Tablescape Inspiration

Happy Fall, y’all! (Are you even Southern if you don’t say that?!) I wanted to share some fall tabletop inspiration with you today. And get this…there’s no pumpkins!

But there are pagodas! How adorable are these little pagoda shaped bird feeders/houses? I love finding a unique blue and white piece and I thought these made the perfect centerpiece decor. They keep the centerpiece low so that you can see across the table to have a conversation and they are a beautiful way to add candlelight.

Check them out all aglow with tea lights inside. Talk about setting a beautiful fall ambience! And these are for sale in my booth! Email me or send me a DM on instagram!

With the blue and white centerpieces, I wanted to bring some fall color to the table. I surrounded the centerpieces with nandina from the yard. I use this evergreen year round! The touches of reds and oranges in some of the leaves hint at the changing of the seasons.

To add more texture, I used a burlap table skirt and topped it with a an eyelet tablecloth. It gives fall feels but a sweet and crisp backdrop for the place setting. Y’all know I’m all about the layers when it comes to a place setting. Let’s start at the top! I love this Haviland Bird of Paradise china. The golden, yellow border with the touches of coral in the florals feel like fall to me and I love the touches of blue (bringing out that centerpiece color again!). I used the soup bowls in this setting. They are truly the perfect size for a salad or starter bowl of soup. Underneath, I layered my blue willow dinner plate to really make that chinoiserie pattern pop.

Beneath the main plates I used my Skyros everyday Legado dinner plate; it’s a big dinner plate and works wells a charger plate in this case. Underneath that, I used my coral wicker charges to add texture and pick up those coral colors in the bird china. A gold round placemat adds a touch of metallic.

Echoing that metallic, I used my gold dotted napkins. They are playful and bring in warm coppery tones. Set with the the cowrie shell napkin rings, and bamboo flatware, they really add fall flair.

However you’re entertaining this year, whether only your immediate family or venturing out with trusted loved ones, I hope this inspires you to set a beautiful table! Happy Fall!

I’ve linked similar flatware and placemats below. The bamboo flatware is hard to find inexpensively in the light color, but the darker brown is a wonderful deal and offered at several retailers. And you can’t go wrong with gold placemats on hand! You can find blue willow at several retailers and I always support finding and supporting secondhand and vintage!
