I recently slept in our guest room. While I was very comfortable in the bed, I realized I could do a few things to spruce the space. Here are my plans for a few guest room updates!
- hang mirrors // I’ve got all the major furniture and used to have these vintage mirrors hanging on the wall. They fell off the wall! It was a DIY hanging job done wrong. I’m ready to get them up the proper way! They are old mirrors that used to be attached to a dresser; I added hanging wire, but it wasn’t strong enough. I’ve got the right hardware now!
- pillows // Now that I’ve done crisp white linens with a pop in our bedroom, I’d like to do that in the guestroom. These Ballard Designs shams have a green piping that will draw in the green from the vintage headboard. I’m loving the modern Laura Park Design pillow juxtaposed against the vintage floral headboard. We’ll see what happens!
The bathroom is what really needs some help. I’m hoping that I can replace the mirror and horrendous light. I’m not sure if it will happen before we have guests for the holiday season, but I’m hoping I can begin the transformation with a fresh shower curtain…at least! I’d really like to use the Society Social Peel and Stcik Grasscloth in the bathroom and small hallway. I’ve seen it in person and it’s fabulous.
