Home Tour: Pop of Pink Living Room

You are going to love this mini home tour with all the pops of pink! Beth Baxley, owner of Pink Sorbet, invited me to a fun day in Columbia to see her happy Lilly Pulitzer store and give me a peak into her brightly styled home.

Anchor the Room with Large Art

When you walk in the front door, the pop of pink living room grabs your attention. This beautiful, large abstract by Megan Carn anchors the wall between the built in shelving and provides a focal point while the pink chairs upholstered in greek key add symmetry.
That white pagoda box anchors this vignette.

This photo is such an excellent example of what I preach on styling on Instagram and to my clients. It’s such an easy formula: large scale art, console beneath, grounding object, symmetry, pop of pink.

Add an Accent Chair

This french chair added a soft neutral while the Dana Gibson pillow added a touch of chinoiserie and the pink and orange geometric throw adds softness.

There’s Never Enough Pillows

The vintage sofa in the original silk damask provides ample seating below the large window. Look at all those pink pillows in textures of velvet, accents of patterned trim, and embroidered styles.

Mix Old and New

I admired so many of Beth's old pieces of furniture. She did a fabulous job of mixing old, inherited pieces with modern lamps.

Take in all those pieces of silver from her collection! I love how she displayed them in categories on each shelf. A shelf that is filled with silver baby cups; one shelf lined with silver tea pots, etc. Such a fabulous way to display those special heirlooms.

I love the touch of art in the background of the shelves. Don’t be afraid to add framed pieces to this area! I love the Willa Heart original of the staffordshire pups in the gold bamboo frame!

Beth was so generous to open her home to me and I adored seeing it all come to life. I also want to give a shout out to her designer, Nicole Norris. Beth told her she wanted it to be bright, but didn’t want to use Lilly Pulitzer fabrics. Nicole was able to use the vintage sofa as a neutral champagne and incorporate textures to compliment it all to work together cohesively. Love this happy room!
