As someone who loves feeling put together everyday, but doesn’t want to invest a ton of time into my getting dressed everyday, I wanted to share my five minute makeup routine. While I enjoy trying new products, many of these are items I keep coming back to and repeatedly tell myself, “why did I even try something else?” These are my ride or die, tried and true favorites that make for an easy five minute makeup routine.
Foundation Primer Plus // This has becoming a necessity as my skin ages and begins to show sun spots. It only takes a pea size amount to rub all over your face and it magically blurs imperfections, providing a good start for your foundation. I even wear it on the weekend when I don’t want to wear a full face of makeup because it gives a glowy and light look. Bonus–it has SPF 15! Pro tip – whatever is left on your fingers, rub on your hands to blur those sunspots and give SPF there, too.
Dual Action Concealer // This lightens and brightens those dark undereye circles. I am color Fair, the lightest it comes in.
Ultra Powder Foundation // A light powder that isn’t heavy. I apply with a brush, but if I need thicker coverage over a blemish or a special event, I will apply with the makeup sponge included in the compact. I am color Ultra Cameo.
Soft Touch Eye Shadow // This has a slightly creamy application to it. I get color Fuzzy; it’s an excellent brown neutral to bring definition to the crease of your eyes and has a little purple undertone to it.
Eye Shadow // I love the color Vanilla Mousse. It’s the perfect creamy, white without being a stark white and blends so well with the Fuzzy color.
Soft Touch Eye Pencil // I will never try another eye liner again. Once you use this, you won’t go back. It applies so well, sharpens easily to get a good tip, and I don’t feel like I’m poking my eye when putting it on, ha! I get color NAVY so it’s a little softer than a black.
Voluminous Mascara // Lashes are a thing for me. I don’t walk out the door without mascara and I love big, thick lashes. I have tried several mascaras over the years, but I keep coming back to Voluminous. And I just realized it’s priced better on Amazon than at the drugstore!
Eye Brow Pencil // I have pretty thick brows to begin with, but the ends of mine are losing shape and hair. I do a quick fill in with this pencil and brush my brows up to define the arch.
Lasting Cheekcolor // I’ve been wearing this since middle school! Again, I try other blushes, but none do it for me like this one. I wear color Precious Pink, especially if I am wearing the color pink. I also like the color Mauve Magic; it’s a little warmer and great for the summer when I want to be slightly sunkissed without bronzer. Bronzer is not my thing.
Lip Pencil Plus // Again, I’ve been using these products since middle school, ha! I don’t have very full lips so the liner is nice to have all in one and I love the way the lipcolor applies. I think this stays on throughout the day pretty well, too. I wear color Sugared Plum most often. Sweet Marmalade is a great pink that can be a little more neutral. For even more neutral, go with Cocoa Buff. Antique Rose is another beautiful pink color, too!
