The Nordstrom Sale is here! Hype and coverage seem to dominate social media. I took a look at the previews and selected what I think are smart purchases for fall–classic items that you will wear repeatedly and look forward to wearing when it’s finally cool enough to do so.
pink turtleneck sweater // Every closet needs a bright pink, loose and slouchy pink turtleneck sweater for the extremely cold days. Cozy and cute!
spanx leggings // If you don’t have a pair or your current pair is looking a little tired, this is an excellent buy! I’ve had my leggings for three years and still wear them often in the fall and winter.
sweater dress // I adore a sweater dress in fall! The v-neck and loose sleeves means this won’t feel like a straight jacket and like you’re suffocating. Polished and cute!
striped sweater // This will be so cute with white jeans in winter! Love a colorful look!
pink coat // Every wardrobe needs a colorful coat. Your outfit underneath could be blah, but topping with a bright coat transforms it! The vivid pink combats dreary winter months.
boucle tweed coat // Another very class coat option with tons of texture in the boucle tweed! I envision this with all winter white outfit underneath!
pink sweater // This has a beautiful drape; perfect with jeans!
Shoes
The NSale always has excellent deals on boots and shoes for fall. In the past, come November, I have regretted not making the boot purchase in July. Learn from my previous experiences and get the shoes now!
wedge booties // I will definitely be ordering these! I tried on a pair of these booties last fall and they were so comfortable! This will be my everyday bootie pair for flares, dresses, skinnies, and everything!
cork sandals // This brand is known for their comfort and the neutral color of these will take you well into our warm fall days.
pink slingbacks // I thoroughly enjoyed wearing my rattan slingbacks this spring and I think these pink will be super fun. The texture looks like grosgrain; love that touch of prep to them. I see this as an all black outfit with the pop of pink!
shooties // These caught my eye because they look like wedge booties, but open heel so that makes them more of a mule. This looks like the answer to the clog trend. Clogs can sometimes look a little too homely, but these shooties give the effect while being more stylish.
tall boots // There’s always a pair of knee high boots that are so classic and this is the pair this year! A fabulous neutral color and pretty seamless–chic!
