I am soooo excited to get started on my master bathroom refresh. Honestly, the only thing we’ve done in here is paint and change the glass globes on the light fixture so I’d say it’s time for an update! Here’s a mood board to give you some visuals…
Our master bathroom is very small and I’m okay with that. Maybe one day I’d like to have a big bathroom, but I’ve learned to see the silver linings: smaller bathroom = less to clean; smaller bathroom = less to update which = less money. I’ve never spent a whole lot of money on updates and I always take my time. This is definitely DIY and on a budget!
What got my wheels turning was this wallpaper on Tempaper. It’s so fun! I’ve installed this peel and stick wallpaper at the home decor store I work at and I’ve been dying to add some to my home. This was on their clearance section and goes well with the hot pink and grey in my adjacent bedroom, so it was a no brainer!
I’ve been eyeing this light fixture for quite some time and I think it will work well with the wallpaper. I’m excited to add gold; I love the way gold contrasts with grey. It’s such a warm neutral.
To maintain the gold accents and maintain the similar square angles of the light fixture, I’m going to use this faucet and these square knobs.
I’m so eager to get excited! I’ve re-caulked the shower and now I really need to do some research into how I can replace the current light over the shower with a fan. If I can make moves on that research, the rest is just DIY install. Any suggestions?
