Earlier this week, it was one of those days where I didnt’ feel like cooking and suggested “Let’s go out, get something casual.” We went to Reid’s for Fine Foods and had a wonderful experience. Beyond the food, they have plenty of to-go items, sauces, snacks, and more. Reid’s has it all!
Dinner
When we arrived, they had live music! A one man band playing acoustic guitar and it really added to the atmosphere–whether you were sitting inside or out. It was a little humid and looked like rain, so we chose to sit inside. The high top tables are a) comfortable and b) so chic in those green tufted bar stools. I’m totally going to refer to “Reid’s Green” in my decor and design, ha! I love how to they go all out with it in the space!
I got the salmon and hub got a burger. We’re so typical, ha! My salmon had a delicious crust to it and I’ve got to figure out how they seasoned their spinach with lemon and garlic; it was delicious! Hub’s burger was huge; loaded with swiss and bacon. He thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back because Chris want’s to try their rendition of the Nashville Hot Chicken next time!
I definitely stole some of hub’s truffle fries. Planning to get a side order all for myself next time!
On the Go
After supper, we walked over to their dessert and hot bar. Y’all, there are sooooo many options at Reid’s! Hubs got a slice of cheesecake and I don’t have a photo because he ate it right when we got home, ha! I think he ate all the Five O’Clock Crunch, too. I was gonna save it and do a cute tailgate snack idea, but I guess I’ll have to go back and get more! They truly have such a great variety of salty snacks, sauces (great gift ideas) and even a hot bar for meals on the go. I took a peak at their frozen section, too. I’ve got to remember this when needing to take a meal to a friend; they had frozen gluten free ziti among multiple choices!
Up for Anything
On the way home, hubs commented that Reid’s is a great restaurant because there’s something for everyone. We’ll probably take family next time their in town. Or at least stock up on speciality snacks for thier visit. ohhh, note to self: get special snacks for the holidays!
Many thanks to Reid’s for inviting me! I’ve been a fan of the spot long before they came to Greenville (we always hoard the Five O’Clock Crunch at family gatherings in Charlotte — Reid’s original store) and are so happy they are in our town now!
