Affordable Scalloped Throw Pillow
Y’all know how much I love my chintz sofa in my office. I’ve played around with different fabrics to be throw pillows in here for a while, but it’s never been a top priority and I do have a hard time spending money on custom pillows in a space that’s so secondary for our home. I’m thrilled to have discovered these affordable scalloped throw pillows!

I love how the blush and blue scalloped throw pillows look with my chintz sofa! I almost went with the green scalloped throw pillow. I do think these colors would be so fun to mix and match! The orange scalloped throw pillows will be so fun to bring outside and use during the fall. I just might have to get another pair!

The scalloped throw pillows also come in several sizes! I got the 20″ scalloped throw pillow on my sofa because I enjoy a big pillow to lean against. They are also available in 18×18 and in lumbar 12×20 pillows.
Proper Inserts for the Scalloped Throw Pillow
The best way to make affordable pillow covers look luxurious is to use a proper insert. You should always go up at least one size bigger for the insert. I prefer down alternative and this is my favorite brand–the only brand–I use and use for my design clients.
- If you buy the 18×18 scalloped pillow covers, get the 20×20 pillow insert.
- If you buy the 20×20 scalloped pillow covers, get the 22×22 pillow insert.
For extra fullness, go up two sizes. That’s what I did on my on the scalloped throw pillows on my chintz sofa. I have the 20×20 scalloped pillow cover and I used the 24×24 pillow insert. This also helps the scalloped flange stand up and out on the pillow.
