During this era of COVID, our celebrations have changed drastically. The large party for any type of milestone is no longer common and no longer safe. For a frequent entertainer like me, it’s left me asking the question “how do I celebrate this occasion?”
I’ve always believed that personal touches during parties truly go the extra mile and make guests feel recognized, feel seen, feel heard, feel…special. So when I had the opportunity to shower a dear friend to celebrate the arrival of her baby, I knew I wanted to pull out my vintage china in all forms of pink to celebrate this baby girl. I also knew I needed a little something extra to carry out the baby theme. That’s when I turned to my friend Leslie of Giddy Paperie.
I love when elements of a party are carried out from invitation to the details at the gathering. Her collection “the littles” was the perfect touch of a sweet baby shower invitation with coordinating acrylic sticks and skewers. I especially loved that the images including animals. My friend is going to collect giraffes for her nursery and baby girl; this collection embraced that sentiment.
The acrylic sticks and skewers truly added the “baby” touch among my collection of vintage, pink, and gold china. Combining new and old creates a balanced and beautiful setting.
All the thanks to Giddy Paperie for making this occasion so special! I’ll be sharing tips for how to be social distance minded for a shower later this week!
