Target has done it again, ya’ll! I shared these mules on my instagram stories on Monday, but I wanted to try them out for a few days and give them a proper review. I am extremely pleased!
First, let’s talk about the metallic. I had been eyeing these Sam Edelman versions for a while but really didn’t want to pay that price. The Target version is half! I usually worry about the cheaper version not being comfortable or giving me blisters, but I wore these all day long walking and working the shop and never had a problem. I certainly don’t think I want to be a tourist and walk around NYC in these, but for everyday purposes, these mules are great!
I love the woven look to them; it’s a nod to my love of vintage! And the metallic is the best shade–not too gold and not silver. It’s that perfect middle of a champagne color. Since it’s a flat, the metallic dresses it up just a bit. I know I’ll wear these when doing to a casual dinner downtown and need something comfortable, but also something a tad extra.
Moving on to the natural rattan….y’all are about to see these on me everyday! ha! It’s the perfect transition shoe for spring. Closed toe so it still hides my winter pedicure (or lack there of) and a good neutral to go with every outfit. The light color of the rattan looks really good with my skintone. I have a hard time with nude shoes actually looking like a brown color on my fair skin and these are the perfect nude to elongate my leg and not be a jarring different color from my skintone.
