Y’all know how much I love big hair and using velcro rollers to get the style. I typically heat my hair with a blow dryer and then put the velcro rollers in my warm hair and leave them to set. With the thermal velcro rollers having metal under the velcro, you can warm them while they are in your hair. I prefer this! With the old velcro rollers, I was in a race to get them in my hair before it cooled down. Now, I put the thermal velcro rollers in, heat the hair while on the rollers, and then let them set. Once they are cool to the touch, I unroll them and comb through with my fingers to finish styling.

You might be thinking, “why don’t you just use hot rollers?” I love a hot roller, but with my shoulder length hair, I’m going for volume at the root. These give the lift I need. Hot rollers are heavier and they definitely give a little volume, but I don’t always want the curl they give.

The thermal velcro rollers come with 2 big rollers, 4 medium rollers, and 2 small ones. Sometimes I only do the top half of my hair, and this a good amount to do that. However, I love doing my whole head, or at least a few more of the big rollers at the crown for additional lift back there. If you like to do your whole head, I would suggest two packs. The crown of my head makes my part go halfway down the back of my head. If I can take each side of the part and put on one thermal velcro roller and let it set, it brings it together with volume for a good look.

I’ve been using this hair dryer; I feel that it gets hot without getting too hot. Previous dryers seemed way too hot and damaged my hair. I think this hair dryer gets warm, but also has good wind force behind it to style it better.
