Timeless and Classic with Sarah Flint

Raise your hand if you have cleaned out closets during this pandemic year. ME. Raise your hand if you can’t believe how outdated some of the items were. ME. Y’all, there were countless items where I could name what was happening in current events when I bought them and let me tell you…they definitely looked sooo 2013. But there were also plenty of items that were much, much older that I still adore and kept because they were classic! I’ve done the same with home decor items. I can remember exactly what was trending when I bought them and then I look at the item and think “why did I think that was a smart purchase? It’s so dated!”

Always classic in neutral leopard and my signature pop of pink.

Throughout the year, I’ve tried to be wiser about my clothing and home purchases–sticking to quality and items that will last forever. I recently shared that my refreshed bedside tables were in my childhood bedroom and my mom’s childhood bedroom. As I purchase furniture, I’ve asked myself “will this last generations?” And even if it’s not the generations of my family, could someone see at the estate sale after my death and see the lasting durability?

Having one pair of shoes that can go from casual to dressy is worth the investment!

When it comes to clothes, I’ve thought a lot about price per wear. My clothing purchases during a pandemic year have certainly been limited as there’s not really places to go or special events to wear them. Ya’ll have heard me preach on Instagram about seizing the opportunity to buy a Lilly Pulitzer Elsa blouse because you’ll have it forever. I have at least five and I think they are all at least five years old, too. When I think about that investment and the price per wear and how I naturally gravitate to wear that item repeatedly…the cost is well worth it! I may not be passing it on to generations….actually, maybe I will! I’ve found quite a few classy pieces of clothing from estate sales.

When the shoe brand Sarah Flint approached me in the fall about being a brand ambassador, I was so honored! Not only are their shoes beautiful, but they’re the shoes you want to wear over and over with multiple outfits because of the timeless and universal appeal.

Sarah Flint shoes are meant to last a lifetime and you can tell that when you immediately slip them on. The craftsmanship is impeccable. Beyond that, the shoes are comfortable! I’ve purchased several types of flats over the years and they are either too flexible and feel like I’m wearing childhood ballet slippers with zero support or they are too stiff and barely move with my foot causing blisters in multiple places. Sarah Flint has found the magical medium of support and flexibility.

As an ambassador for Sarah Flint, I have a discount code to share with you! You can use SARAHFLINT-BAANNALOUISE for $50 off your first pair!

Put some power behind your next shoe purchase and pick a pair that puts a smile on your face every event you wear it! Sarah Flint shoes are so versatile and I love knowing this is a pair that won’t wear out after a season. I’ll keep this pair of leopard print flats forever and they’ll be stylish until, well, forever! It’s the epitome of timeless, classic, and quality! Here’s a few more options that will last a lifetime in your wardrobe:

There’s something so ladylike about the Natalie pointy toe flat. As I get older, I realize the value of not walking in heels all day. A pointy toe elongates the leg and that bow adds just a touch of sweetness. I have this style in the leopard calf hair!

The Alexandra boot will kick your other boots to the curb. Seriously, how stunning is that tortoise heel? I love tortoise for the texture it adds and this would also tie in well to brown in the outfit giving you multiple wearing options!

Okay let’s do another show of hands…how many of you have a similar style shoe in your closet that you pull out every special occasion but it killllssssss your feet? The Perfect Block Sandal 60 is a gorgeous gold, but not too shiny gaudy gold, an ideal height for special events but not making you a tower and look at that arch support! You can dance all night in those! However, I know some of you are going to want higher and some of you are going to want lower. Sarah Flint has you covered!

Many thanks to Sarah Flint for sending me the Natalie flats to “test drive” and review. As always, my thoughts and opinions shared are just that–mine! Thank you for supporting me and the brands that make Designed by Dixon possible.
