I think that’s what I’ll call these type of posts. I want to do more clothing try on sessions for y’all and I want to show how to incorporate it into your existing wardrobe.
I recently did some shopping at a few places and here’s some photos of the items I purchased.
I love the shape of this black and white top with the asymmetrical ruffle. The classic combo of black and white in various patterns like houndstooth and micro-check combined with the ruffle make it unique. Good for work or casual wear.
I was attracted to the ruffle sleeve on this navy sweater. The weight of this makes it a great transitional piece. I can’t pass up a ruffle. I’m sorry it’s not online in navy anymore but the stripe is sooo cute!
I went for the all navy look here. I think it looks very Audrey Hepburn mixed with preppy style. I love navy as a neutral because it’s a bit brighter than black and head to toe adds professionalism. Gotta have that pop of color though!
This brown smocked top was so comfortable. A good knit that had the comfort of your worn in sweatshirt. I love the smocking detail and ruffle around the neck–it really frames your face. I like how the smocking adds a little puff at the end of the shoulder and the balloon of the sleeves is a fun element. You could also pair with black pants and leopard shoes for a head to toe neutral look.
Y’all know I love my tigers and had to get this when I saw it! It’s been running very low on sizes but hopefully they will restock it. I also love the floral color it comes in. The pants above are the Spanx Ankle Jean-ish Legging. AMAZING! It was my first time trying on spanx and the comfort is unreal. I love that they look like real pants but #softclothes. And I appreciate the high waist on them; high waisted pants don’t gap and I don’t have to pull them up.
The new item here is the black knit top. A basic. But I needed this basic to carry a few of my summer items into fall well. It’s still hot ya’ll! Just add a jean jacket if needed. I love this shell because of the good quality, the length that allows me to wear almost tunic style or front tuck, the ruffle neckline frames the face, and the shoulders cut in just slightly to make it flattering but not so much that I need a different bra. Here is with two skirts that I plan to wear it with.
Oh and this houndstooth coat! Probably my fave of all my recent purchases. I’ll style this a few ways this week so stay tuned! But purchase it while you can; it’s party of Target’s 20 years of collaborations and won’t last long!
