Bold and Colorful Easter Tablescape Inspiration

I think Easter is going to look a little different this year, ya’ll. And I have a gorgeous tablescape to inspire you! We may not be hosting friends and family, but it is still an occasion worth celebrating.

One of my friends, colleagues, and clients from Cottage Grove brought in these beautiful plates for her booth, Hip at Grove. I fell in love with them! That bright yellow with the birds in the center with the accents of blue, green, and oh, that pink. You know the pink spoke to me!

The colorful floral plates are available for purchase from Hip at Grove!

I knew I wanted to highlight the pink so I chose my hot pink glass chargers to accent the hues. I also wanted to incorporate blue willow. Blue and white is a great grounding element. You might laugh when I say I use it as a neutral, but the border of blue willow is so deep, it’s a good contrast that reads as a solid against the busy floral of these gorgeous plates.

The napkin rings were a find our doing some vintage picking, but I actually found them online! Sourced below for you!

Of course I had to go full chinoiserie and use bamboo flatware, duh! And I wanted to bring the pink to the outer edges of the place setting so I used these pink beaded napkin rings. I think it adds a fun element and keeps it from being so formal.

The base placemats add texture. The gold on the bottom adds warmth, but the next layer of a pink, netted rattan provides texture. When creating a tablescape, there’s never enough layers!

These blue stemmed glasses are from my vintage inventory and available for purchase!

I also wanted to add color through the glassware. Simple bubble glass in green and blue stemmed wine glass add hues to the top without being fussy.

In all honesty, as I finished prepping the table with only one floral arrangement, I felt like it just wasn’t quite right, like it was unfinished. I prepped this just as self isolation was beginning; I couldn’t find great flowers and didn’t want to go more places searching for them. I had to make do. I felt bad that I didn’t incorporate bunnies or some type of pastel element, but that’s just not my style. I go for bold and bright! In terms of holiday decorating, I don’t purchase little additional accessories. I prefer to use colors to reiterate the time of year or season.

That’s one reason that my monogram napkins are green. You may have heard me say before that green is best accent color in terms of seasonal decorating. It works for spring occasions, but also Christmas; it’s truly a year round accent. And if you’re investing money in a monogram napkin, get one you’ll use year round.

Back to the centerpieces. I originally wanted three ginger jars filled with flowers. As I brought these flowers home from Publix, I tried to arrange three bouquets, but it wasn’t going to happen. Hence, I did one full arrangement in the center and brought out my trusty blue and white elephants to go down the center. Don’t be afraid to pull other decor items from your home to complete a tablescape. And in this time of quarantine, I think we’re gonna need to be a little simpler right now.

The florals are simple alstroemeria with white and yellow roses.

How will you celebrate Easter this year? I hope you’ll still mark the occasion by having a dinner with your immediate family and pulling out the fun tableware!

Much of my items are vintage finds and many are available for purchase! I’ve tried to link the common items but if there’s something specific you’re looking for, send me a message and maybe I can find it or have it in my collection!
