Bridal Luncheon Tablescape

For today’s bridal luncheon hostess tips, I’m filling your feeds with bridal luncheon tablescape inspiration! I’ve got tips and ideas on how to mix old and new and create a beautiful tablescape for such special celebrations.

Something old, something new….You know the rest! Consider applying this old adage to your tablescape for the perfect mix of vintage items, fresh materials, and color balance to create a beautiful bridal luncheon tablescape.

The Tablecloth

I knew I wanted to use my great grandmother’s china with the soft greens and also needed something fresh to balance the vintage. I turned to Just Darviny to find the perfect tablecloth! The pink background with touches of blue and green provide a gorgeous backdrop for all the other elements on the table.

The China and Plates

As a balance to the vintage china, a slightly modern gold edged charger by Vietri provides a beautiful metallic backdrop while the large ruffles imitate the micro scallop of the dinner plate. These are actually “something borrowed” from my sister-in-law. Don’t be afraid to borrow friends and family items to create a beautiful tablescape!

The Flatware and Glassware

I chose to repeat the gold metallic by using my brass flatware; I just love the warmth it adds to the table. Because of all the other colors on the table, I chose to use a clear crystal so you can see the colors of the tablecloth.

The Napkins and Twillies

As a personalized touch of something blue, I chose these white satin monogrammed napkin twillies from The Preppy Stitch! Wrapped around a solid color hemstitch napkin, these beautiful twillies add a soft sheen and that perfect something blue.

use code DIXON10 on the napkin twillies!

Beyond being used as a napkin twillie, these would be beautiful wrapped around bouquets and then the bride can keep them to use as twillies in her home. What a beautiful gift!

The Centerpieces

To create a runner of floral centerpieces, I used silver teapots from my service and mint julep cups. These keeps the arrangements low so guests can still enjoy conversation across the table. There’s nothing more classic (or easy!) than white hydrangeas with a touch of color via tulips (or roses or daffodils or any other small flower in season).

As many silver pieces are also monogrammed, it creates a special welcome into family to honor the generations before.
