I don’t know if it’s just the karma of the pretty periwinkle coat, but I’m seeing some bright coats at many retailers right now. I adore a bright colored coat; I have quite the collection. A happy topper can really make a statement in a winter outfit and when the weather is dreary, might as well be bright!

pretty periwinkle coat (currently 40% off) // the coat that started it all! It’s classic and ladylike with beautiful detailing at the seams and waistline. I’ll be wearing this in Williamsburg for our trip! It seems so colonial classic in this Wedgwood blue color!

gingham periwinkle coat // This must be a big color for fall since we’re seeing the hue more than one place. The style of this is the ultimate in coziness and classiness; that shawl collar keeps you bundled while the belted waist flatters your figure.

hot pink trench coat // You cannot go wrong with a classic trench style and this bright pink hue makes quite the statement. Something you’ll have in your closet forever and it will always make the outfit.

blushing herringbone // I see this with an all winter white outfit. Whether that’s wide leg trousers with pretty blouse or a winter white sheath, this is elegant on top. Add my favorite pearl earrings for a feminine finish.

lightweight lavender // This is a smart jacket for travel. It’s lightweight and good for so many weather conditions and can also make the outfit when the weather is unknown. It’s an excellent weight to wear over light clothes or over a heavy sweater. Because it can hold it’s own it also looks good with simple outfits that you may pack for travel; for example, all black; or athleisure. It just works!

check neutrals // So it’s a neutral, but if I’m gonna do neutral, it’s gonna have a fun pattern and this is it! I can just see this with chambray and white jeans and tan booties; classic!

green lady coat // Several outfits come to mind: 1) Christmas. I love playing with non-traditional hues of red and green. This will be fabulous 2) pink and green. Add any hue of pink and this is precious! 3) I own a coat similar to this color and it is such a good option for “spring” in March; it’s still cold but you want to look like the upcoming season.

orchid // It’s a rarer shade of pink and that makes it special! Don’t forget to the similar camel colored version for neutral wear!
