The first weekend in May is off with quite a bang–Cinco de Mayo, the Coronation, and the Kentucky Derby! If anything, it’s reminded me to have the freezer stocked with biscuits for all the events that come with May. I like to keep the classics, like buttermilk and gluten free, as well as a few hearty or savory selections, like sausage biscuits and cheese and chive biscuits.

Cozy Coronation
Since I love watching all things royal, I’ll be paying attention to the Coronation this weekend. Since it starts at 6am, it will be a cozy coronation celebration with breakfast in bed! I thought I would do a southern version of an english breakfast, LOL! I’ll pull out my silver biscuit tin and I’m going to use my Wedgwood china. I read years ago that Queen Elizabeth ate breakfast on this pattern, so I think I’ll use it for my breakfast on this special occasion! I’ll be loading my biscuit up with butter and the blackberry jam. Y’all it is sooo good!
