How To Be Professional at Your Coffee Bar and Cocktail Bar

Today, I’m kicking off a special series with my friend Paige of the Pink Clutch blog. We’ll be sharing a “how to be professional in” a variety of ways. Let’s get this Monday started with a cup of coffee and how to be professional at your coffee bar.

Let me introduce you to the Emily McCarthy gift bar! Emily stocks fabulous items, including gorgeous interlocking monogram items, on her website. These make fantastic gifts when you need a little surcey (hello hostess gifts and cute additional items to tie on a tag) as well as great items to stock your coffee bar. You can see the fun gold leopard to go cups with the classic cheers napkins and the beautiful monogram acrylic sticks.

I used to stir my coffee with spoons and let me just say, making coffee with an acrylic stick is just more fun. I always have a stack of cocktail napkins at the ready and the to go coffee cups really come in handy! These items make your coffee bar festive for when you company–how nice to be able to offer a to go coffee when they are leaving; save that starbucks money, honey! I also enjoy taking items like this on vacation; whether you’re staying in a hotel and fixing coffee in the room (their cups are never big enough) or staying in a rental home, it’s nice to have your own little coffee bar ready to go.

Gris Gris Cocktail Magic

Speaking of cocktails…y’all know I love the Gris Gris Cocktail Magic. I have a large bottle of the Basil Habenero Syrup. It adds a heat to any beverage. This is not your basic simple syrup, ya’ll! It’s fantastic for cocktails, but I also use it to make non-alcoholic beverages. My favorite thing to mix it with is Fresca! We used the Pelligrino in the above photo and it was quite refreshing as well!

While visiting Paige, I tried the Jalepeno Hex flavor. The Basil Habenero is a definite heat! The Jalapeno Hex is a milder version. I like them both for different things!

Pro Tip: I love to take this simple syrup and fresca in a cooler on the road. At the end of a busy day (maybe out antiquing, maybe out shooting for the blog), it’s fun to make a non-alcoholic beverage for the ride home with friends.

We’ve also recently tried the Jalepeno Chow Chow and it’s delicious; it’s more of a sweet heat, not too spicy. We enjoy eating it on pork tenderloin.

Gift Ideas

I know we are always looking for unique gift ideas and the above items are so clever! Stock up on a few Emily McCarthy items in the spot cheetah or the cheers napkins and pair them with a bottle of Gris Gris! Buy many items of the napkins and a case of Gris Gris and you’re always ready with a hostess gift!
