Thanksgiving Table Inspiration

I know we’re all moving quickly towards Christmas because….yes, I want this year to end feeling like “the most wonderful time of the year,” too, but let’s not forget this special holiday for us to express our gratitude.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably realized that when it comes to decorating for a theme or holiday, I don’t get too overly theme-y. For example, there’s no turkey graphic on this table! I try to take my usual everyday colors from my home and vary them in different saturations and add doses of additional color or plants or greenery to echo the season.

Y’all know my most common colors are corals and pinks, touches of turquoise and navy is my neutral. To set the scene for Thanksgiving, I went with deeper hues of these colors…rich teals, bright pinks in an almost magenta saturation, and grounded the table with deep blue and white.

My formal china is Wedgwood Florentine in turquoise. It was my grandmother’s and I love the turquoise and brown in a chinoiserie pattern border. To play up the colors, I purchased these deep teal napkins from Shops of Provence and had them add a pagoda monogram in hot pink and blue. I know I’ll use these all the time in those colors!

I kept the centerpiece simple by filling these gorgeous blue and white jardinières with magnolia stems. I mean, those canisters are beautiful as is and hold their own. They don’t need anything else to show them off! And guess what! They will be available in the booth soon! Send me a message if you’re interested.

As place card holders, I used these white pagoda and ginger jar ornaments. How versatile?! I love that these are my colors and although they are ornaments, they can be used year round in a variety of ways! These are also for sale in my booth! This also makes a great little gift for guests this time of year–they can take it home with them and hang it on their tree!

Y’all know I’m all about the layers for the place setting, and a pop of pink was necessary! I love the lattice feel to these pink chargers and they definitely pop with the gold border, especially when layered over the white. These will be in the booth for the Open House on Thursday!

For beverages, I wanted to mix and match. The Tiffin Thumbprint in Cranberry serves as a water glass and my formal crystal of Lenox Brilliance is the ideal goblet for serving white wine with turkey! I mixed and matched the flatware. I love the gold, brass bamboo. It adds a touch of formality. I think I need another set! Since I didn’t have enough to make it all the way around, I used my natural bamboo flatware. It adds warm texture to the table.

This might be one of my favorite tablescapes. Probably because it’s in all my favorite colors! I truly brings my dining room to life. Oh, I’m just dying to have a dinner party!

Do you have a special Thanksgiving china? Or do you use something you use frequently? I’d love to know!
