A Valentine’s Surcey for Your Gal Pals

I can’t believe it’s almost Valentine’s Day! January crept along at the slowest pace ever and now we’re halfway through February! I love giving small, little thought gifts to friends throughout the year–a surcey. (The spelling of this word is highly debated so I’m just spelling it how it sounds.)

I meet with some friends for coffee every Wednesday before we join a larger group for bible study and I wanted to give these ladies a special treat. The Impress Nails were the perfect surcey! I ran by Target to grab a few (they have the best price–5.99 everyday!). One of the girls introduced to me this product and she wears them every week, so I knew she would love them. And these are my favorite way to have a manicure so I want to share the affordability, ease, durability of these nails with all my friends!

It was also a small thing that I could add an easy tulle bow to make is presentable and still carry it in my purse into Starbucks.

Here’s how to make a tulle bow. I love how the soft pink is feminine and delicate–just like these nails!

First, tie a base around the width of the box and knot once.
Pinching the center with your fingers, make two rows of tulle so there are two loops on each side.
Attach to the base single knot by using the extra ends and double knotting them over to give a firm hold.
Be sure to fluff each tulle end so it appears full of volume.

And that’s all it takes to make the perfect little Valentine’s surcey! Happy Valentine’s Day!
