Let the Good Times Roll! Mardi Gras Bar Setup

Come on in! Let me pour you a beverage and let the good times roll!

I have no affiliation to New Orleans or Mardi Gras except for the fact that I love visiting the city. I’ve only been a few times, but I always have a great time. They have a mentality to celebrate everything and I love that. There’s always a reason to have a friend over and toast to something–even if the reason is “it’s a Wednesday.” When I realized their biggest celebrations of the year, Mardi Gras, is coming up, I thought I should create a bar cart incorporating the green, gold, and purple to celebrate Fat Tuesday.

I had a green base lamp in another room. Don’t be afraid to shop your house! If it’s on theme, bring it in!
These glasses are a soft green and have fleur-de-lis on each side–perfect for the occassion! They are old from World Market, but Anthropologie has similar glassware this season.
I corralled them on a vintage brass tray. A lemon slice offers a nod to gold and is always a good garnish!
I have the easiest recipe for a King Cake!
1. Get in your car
2. Drive to Publix
3. Go to the Baker
4. Get Home
5. Put on a pretty cake stand
Since I love using ALL the colors, I grabbed these beads from Dollar Tree to add a festive touch to the table.
Check out those details on the Valencia glassware! Raised etchings in the gold and that green diamond accent. I have these available for purchase in my vintage booth!
Napkins with splatters of gold add an abstract touch.
Doesn’t that work out fabulously that lemons and limes are also colors of Mardi Gras?!
