Tidal Tablescape

When Paige and I went down to Pawleys this summer, we set a beautiful tablescape! Blue and white is always right; with additional elements of tortoise, cowrie shells, and plaid, it was a beautiful tablescape for fall along the coast.

Dock: I am so grateful to family friends the Deschamps for letting us borrow their dock for an evening and morning to set this up and get these beautiful photos.

Megan Whitney Photography: Megan Whitney was a dream to work with! It started torrential downpouring in our shoot and we didn’t get it all captured. Megan came back the following morning and took more photos. I am so grateful for her professionalism, keen eye, and willingness to shoot this twice!

Table Linens by Flying Sheep Country: The blue dot tablecloth added a subtle pattern that created a wonderful backdrop for the place setting. The coordinating blue napkin added a solid sweet element with the scalloped edges

cowrie napkin ring: The napkin ring adds a natural element to the place setting.

Tortoise Charger Plate: The tortoise charger plate adds a dark tone to really make the place setting pop. Similar styles here and here.

Bow Dinner Plate: The border of the plates in such a neat and tidy border add a lovely framework.

Salad Plate: You can’t see it here, but the quail on the plate add such a southern fall feel. I’ve started collecting them!

blue stemless wine glass: The shape of the blue stemless wine glass is beautiful! I love using a stemless wine glass as a water glass.

tortoise wine glass: Happy to see this wine glass comes in a variety of styles! It’s perfect for fall!

oyster garland: Add in some eucalyptus from the grocery store and the oyster garland created a beautiful low lying centerpiece.

menu cards: Sweet Caroline Designs created the menu cards. She captured the aesthetic of our tablescape so perfectly for paper!

pillows and blanket: buffalo check, solid, the bow pillows are vintage. Similar styles here. We used buffalo check tan blankets as well.

Paige is wearing Elizabeth Wilson Designs and I’m wearing Susan Albright with Michelle McDowell shoes (use DIXON20 for discount at MM). I’ll share more about our clothes tomorrow!
