There’s a few items I always travel with so that I have the comfort of home. Beyond my Bathroom Bag for easy and organized access to all my toiletries, here are the travel necessities I take with me everywhere I go:
- cozy sweater. Rather than packing a bulky robe, I pack this oversized sweater to wear in the mornings and at night over my pajamas. It provides that cozy feeling while sipping my coffee in the mornings. It’s also been nice to have another layer; when traveling with friends and family, it may be hard to agree on a temperature for the house and it’s been smart to have an extra layer.
- pillow and silk pillowcase. I can’t sleep without my pillow! I take it anytime I travel. My mom gave me this silky pillowcase for Christmas, and now I can’t sleep without it either. How did I sleep so long without this lovely fabric against my face? There’s many benefits to a silk pillowcase–-less wrinkles and doesn’t mess up your hair so much.
- tumbler. I have to take a tumbler with me everywhere I go. Even if I’m running errands at home, I have a cup of water with me. Having my personal tumbler insures I always have a water with me. I don’t have to worry about what type of cup is at a rental home or constantly re-purchasing a water bottle if I’m at a hotel.
- bedroom shoes. I cannot have my feet cold and this is such a luxury when walking around in places you’re unaccustomed to (i.e. tile or cold floors).
Those are my travel necessities for having the comforts of home with you wherever you go!
